how much of a help is the alcohol injection? i know it helps prevent detonation and lets you up the boost but how much more boost can i run (with stock internals) with the AI? if it makes a noticable difference, put me down for one!

The alcohol lets you run about 4 psi more. I usually only recommend 6-7 psi on the base kit, and you can go as high as 11 with the alcohol.

can you "run out" of alcohol to inject? (newbie here) ...

if so, how can you obtain more ... ??

^ thats a good question

Obviously you can run out but im wondering what happens when you run out and you aren't aware of it? Do you start detonating to hell or is there a fail safe?

yes, you can run out of alcohol. And the car will start detonating if you hit the high boost. That is why you have to be aware of where your alcohol level is.

Also, the K20 turbo project will be completed soon. That car is going to SEMA next week.

The normal turbo is a basic ar.48 exhaust, .42 intake

The upgraded turbo is a modified super 60.
ar.48 exhaust, .60 intake with a super 60 trim turbine.

question.......here it says that the equal length manifold is $150 extra and in another thread it says that it comes with the base kit of $2900......so, does it come with the base kit or do we have to pay extra for the equal length manifold ?

keep it at a low and safe boost level 4-6psi and keep up with maintence and your engine will last longer than you own the car most likely. you dont "need" a turbo timer but it will help prolong the life of the turbo so its a good idea to have one.
