You'd probably beat him with a 35, but to be sure, run 55. Unless, he has one of those turbo protege's, I dont know what they run..... To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

How does it work. Im new and i am planning on buying a kit soon. What do you mean by spraying constantly and if you have a stick how does it work. Do you just press the button, LOL? I know its funny but i just want to learn a little more.

If you are asking simple questions like these....you should talk to someone you know like a local shop or something and have them explain everything and it might be a good idea to have them install the kit as well. Nitrous can do ALOT of damage if you dont use it right. Be careful

I could tell you everything right now but it would take about a page of typing and I think you would get more out of talking to your buddy who knows about it...

i just put the zex kit in my 03 civic coupe. ive had it in for about a month and ive been playing with it non stop. i put the zex spark plugs in and noticed when i took my stock ones out they looked fine and dandy. i have the 55 shot and everything is working out sweet, and it is a hell of alot quicker. the zex purge kit adds a lot of style too. i think its a good addition my car, and all i have done is a full exaust and intake.

i didnt get a chance to get numbers on the 50 shot yet because its in the middle of the winter here in delaware, first off the tracks around here arent open yet and second off its been so cold. all i can say is that there was a few days the temp was higher and when i ran the nitrous the car moves a heck of alot quicker. my guess is you would be able to hang, if not beat your friend.

the zex DRY kit is a universal kit. the kit i got was just a plain old ZEX kit with no special features for the 7th gen civic. the only requirement really is a cold air intake, thats all you need to tap into on your engine, the rest is basically just running the nitrous line and mounting your bottle in your trunk or backseat. i think on ZEX the website there are different WET kits for each car, but as long as you go with a DRY kit, its all the same.

the Zex wet kit for the 7th gens is #82021 not 82011 ... and you CAN run the Zex kit on a 100% stock motor (need plugs so not completely stock) - no CAI required! The directions the kit comes with actually shows an install of a factory airbox! As far as numbers go, I have no slips but the 55 wet shot with I/H/E and no cat = 9.0 in the 1/8th ... I know this because I beat a turbo prelude 3 times in one day - he has numerous timeslips on his car where he runs between 8.97 - 9.11 in the 1/8th ... Dont quote me on this but I've been told this would be about 14.5 for a 1/4 ...

and just for info purposes - my Zex wet kit #82021 was $514.32 ... I know VERY little about working on cars but I did my own install in 2 hours in the dark ... A monkey could install this kit!

I went through 5 bottles of it last summer & it didn't hurt a thing.. just check your plugs & if u notice that your car starts to run funny you may need to check your timing & or air / fuel ratio... if you've got any questions regarding nitrous or feel free to e-mail me Running925@hotmail.com.. I've have 2 years experience with nitrous & know just about every aspect of it now!
