Need recommendations on where to get bodykit installed and painted

I stay on the southside suburbs ( Oak Lawn, Orland area ) and my bodykit should be here Wednesday, so I need to find a reputable place to get it installed and painted. Anyone have any suggestions of places that they know do a good job and quality work? Thanks! To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

AR will become famous soon enough
this is far, but they're quality.

bodywerks
8444 Niles Center Rd.
Skokie Il 60077

(847) 675 BODY (or 2639)
they're been in all the mags and have like 20 award trophies in their lobby. sick cars parked in the front. they do everything from fabrication, painting, body work, conversions. the owner has an AMG benz parked in front that he drives daily... great place.

There is a body shop 1 block north of archer on Pulaski, right across from Windy City Honda. They do good work, I had a car fixed there and had no regrets.

I too am looking for a good body shop to have a body kit installed near Vernon Hills, anyone know of one. I don't want to pay a lot, but I want it to look good. Anyone heard of Sudden Impact in Mundelein? They said they would do it for $750 painted.

All I want to say is that I took the advice of many of you and brought my car to BodyWerks in Skokie. I was told to drop my car off Monday and I would have it back the next day or at the latest on Wednesday. So I call Tuesday and Im told, "no it wont be ready till Wednesday". So I call on Wednesday to hear "oh, its still not ready, but it will be ready tomorrow ( Thursday ) and you can come pick it up". Thursday rolls around and when I call, guess what? "uhhh...its still not done, they have to put the bumper on yet and its still to wet to put on but you can pick it up tomorrow ( Friday ) morning by 10am". Well I had to work so I didn't even call them on Friday until 2pm, and guess what happened? "uhhh....they still have to put the bumper on, what time will you be here?", so I tell him that I will be there by 5:30 ( they close at 6 for some reason everyday ). So I get a friend to drive me an hour out there and while were driving, they call my cell like "how far into the drive are you" and im like "im half way there" and he's like "well the bumper is still too wet to put on and if we put it on now it will have fingerprints in it, so just come tomorrow and it will be done". So at this point im extremely pissed off and told him "just put the bumper on and i will take it somewhere else to get it repainted" and he says "ok fine". So I get there at 5:30 only to see my car sitting there with my same old bumper on still. So the guy is like "well, just take the car and come back on Monday with the car, it will only be an hours worth of work, you can just wait here for it". So I agree to this just so I can get this done, so this morning ( monday ) I called him at 9am to make sure the bumper was all ready to go when i got there. I showed up at 11:30am with my car and asked him how long it would be, and he says "it will be done by 1pm". So now im annoyed because at first it was an hour wait, now its an hour and a half. So I decide to just go get something to eat and when I get back at 1pm, I see my car sitting there with the bumper half on and noone around anywhere. So I ask the guy "hey, whats going on with my car?" and hes like "theres just a half hour of work left, but all the guys go on lunch from 1-2". So then this ******* wanted me to wait there for another hour and a half while these guys were on lunch. Suffice to say, I was extremely pissed and finally got my car back at 3pm. But I just wanted to post this here because I want to warn everyone that Bodywerks sucks. While I was waiting today, there was another guy in there complaining saying "you guys told me two and a half weeks and its been two and a half months". So just so you know, if you take your cars there, you will have a long delayed wait on your hands and they will jerk you around nonstop. They did an ok job on the car but I will not be recommending them or returning to them ever again. They are probably one of if not THE worst company I've dealt with in my life.

BODYWERKS SUCKSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

i work just about everyday. so you shouldn't have a hard time seeing me there. it looks really good i think. They do good work, but I can't stand a company who di@ks you around like they do. I'd rather have just paid an extra $200 and had someone do it who can be upfront about the timeframe it would take.
