I think with DSL it depends where you're located. And with Cable, the speed also varies. And well, I have cable. And I have no complaints about the speed... so far. I'm pretty content with it.

Haha! I think everyone would choose T1... if it was cheaper, of course.

I have cable and am very happy with it. I know lots of people with dsl and find cable to be much faster. Cable does run a little slower every once in a while but its only a small decrease in speed and not very often. Both are much better than dialup buti gotta go with cable.

It depedns whether your neighbours are using cable or not ... the more cable users in your area ... the slower you get ... I used cable when I was in school last term ... and I lived in an apartment with 35 other cable users sharing a few source ... the speed was slower than a 56k dialup !!

fxxking rogers dont bother adding more lines into our building even so many of us complained !! ...

cable flows around 750k-1.5mb

dsl stay at 640k

but lets say if u d/l multiple songs, then cable slows down obviously...but for dsl its the same....

We have had cable for a few years now. I can't really complain. If it does slow down it is a very small decrease in speed.

My brother has dsl and used to have cable. He has really never been able to tell the difference speed wise.

How is that possible? That doesn't make much sense to me?

Wireless is just the connection between your [PC, Printer, etc.] and the [router, hub, switch, bridge] that connects to the modem. They have different wireless connection types: 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g. It's like how the Cat-5 Cables have diiferent connection speeds like 10/100/1000. Haha! Hope that helped. Sorry.

But it shouldn't make any difference in speed.

DSL All the way. It's cheaper if you sign a year contract. it never drops (well once in a blue moon). and fast enough.

I had cable it it was down more than up and i was in a "clean area". Everytime it rained or the wind blew too hard it went down. It was like satalite. I hated it! I now pay 39 a month and have been down once for 2 hrs in 2 years, knock on wood, and connect at 500-750. It will be a long time before i go back to cable.
