Cleaning Gameboy games

I recently bought the Gameboy SP...so I went to play my games that I would never play because I could not see jack...anywayz, my son got all the games dirty, but I can't get that green gunk off. Some of my games don't even work at all, and it is a lot harder then N64 games to clean because the hole to the connector is so narrow...

what is the best way to clean the games

I have tried achohol and Q-tips, but that is workin for the tough ones...and I think some of the games memory got erased.

Sunapollo is an unknown quantity at this point
how dirty is that ?
I think Q-tip + alcohol is the best way ...
if those are some sticker/ gum stain ... then use goo-gone ..

Well, they are made essentially the same way as the old games...but the hole is small. With the old games usually a dry q-tip would get all the dirt off...but my son got them REALLY dirty.
