All depends what card you have, but for the most part its the same. For nvidia cards just head to Click Me and download your choice of unlocking tools. Run the programs (usually just registry editors) then go to where you would normally ajust your video card under display settings. There should be a new tab that allows you to ajust the core speed and memory speed. Ive never OCed an ATI card, but im sure it has a similar process. I have a GF4 Ti4200 OCed to 290/590 and it runs rock steady, and added 1500 points to my 3dmark bench. With nvidia cards its easy to find stable settings as well. It tests the setting for a few secs and if its stable it will let you keep the settings. Good luck and try not to fry ur card

geforce4 cards are terrific performers, and overclock very well. If you wanna go top of the line get the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. The card is amazing. I have a gf4 ti4200 overclocked to ti4400 specs and i run all my games at max resolution and gfx settings. If you have a slower CPU (less than 1.5ghz) i would say just get a GF3 cuz ur CPU wont be able to process enough information to take advantage of the GF4's and 9700's. I have a P4 2.4ghz with 512 PC2700DDR, and i can get 11500 on 3dmark, while a similar system with an ATI9700 will score 14000 or so.... its all how much money u wanna spend.
