xbox...better graphics, built in hard drive.....the ps2 is old now.
PS2, more games = more variety
just look at some of the games you might get, some are exclusive to either system, but some (especially sports games) are on both.
I have both and would recomend the XBOX. Not only does it have a built in hard drive it has much better online gaming. If you plan on doing this at all xbox is the console to do it on. True both systems have exclusives and everything buti think xbox outweights ps2s. with games like halo and such i recomend xbox.
If you don't want to worry about running out games to play, I suggest PS2. If you want better graphics, better online play, and not worried about running out of games to play, get a XBOX. I'm not knocking on either of them because they both have their ups and downs but I prefer XBOX. The only reason I would say XBOX has better online gaming is because they don't allow 56kers, you can only play on broadband which leaves you with a lot less lag. IMO of course.
Thanks for the input. I think that I may just get the PS2, I played the XBOX and I just can't seem to get used to that controller. Besides that I don't plan on doing any online gameing with the system. That's what I have my computer for.
hell, i got both ( even have a GC ), and right now, its a sweeter deal getting the XBOX. you get the system, controller S ( thats the smaller version of the original controller ), and two games, sega gt 2002, and jet set radio future, for $200, you get everything you need to play ( remember, no need for mem cards with a built in hard drive ). however, i payed $300 for my ps2 1 1/2 years ago, and i still think that was a great deal.

Why is it that all XBOX owners always go back on is Halo? Ya know you need more than 1 good game....
Im tryin to sell my PS2 if ur interested. Im selling the PS2, 1 controller, mem card, Gran Turismo 3, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and Hitman 2 for $175. All games have original packaging and i even have the PS2 original box. I rarely play it anymore, and really just use it for DVD's. PM me if ur interested or email me at nofriends@cox.net

I may just do that, I'll have to check on my money situation first. Bills hit me hard this last month.
