I'm trying to burn a back-up of a game because my disc get real beat up and every time I try I get an error message. I tried it on another computer and the same thing. The disc and the blanks are still new so what could be the problem?

no, i think he's saying his discs GET beat up, so to prevent losing the game he's trying to make a copy.
if the disc is protected by anti burn software, or whatnot, you may need to use a CDRW drive that has what's called "RAW" capability. as ducatti said. what's the error?
If S2000 is right about it being copyright protected, which I bet he is, the only burner I know of that is capable of easily bypassing that junk is a Plextor. But, you will shell out more money for one. Anyone confirm what I said?
Just get Blind Read and Blind Write... easy little way to make exact duplicates. Works wonders with all the ISO and Bin/Cue cd's that dont normally like to be recopied.
maybe if the CDs messed up you cold pay a CD shop, or do it yourself, just grind off the first thin layer of plastic till the scratches are gone, then copy it? maybe twice?
