Anbody play Empires: Dawn of the Modern World?

I'm trying to get started in the whole "strategy/warfare" type game and figured I'd start with this title, anyways it's hard as shit, (to me anyway) and was sick of playing against the computer and wondered if anyone else had this title, since it supports network play.
