Okay... Sorry for the confusion I found the "power LED" on the Mother... I can't find any "Power LED" on the Front of the Case...
The power LED should be the little light below or around your power button to start the computer. It's just an indicator to let you know that your system is on.

You will def. want to plug those in if you want to hear if your motherboard has a problem, listen to headphones and such. You will not be able to listen to headphones from the front of the case. If you just want to listen to them directly from the I/O connector in the back of the motherboard (Should be green and round).

you should be able to find them at circuit city...but if you have a fry's electronics or any computer store with more parts geared towards custom pc's rather than best buy's prebuilt mania. If you can't find an adapter just get a decent power supply unit for cheap and make sure it is the correct voltage and has a 24 pin. anyways I looked up the manual for the board and this is what i found...
LINKY Get the english version. So i think that clears things up

I got the Sound Ones IN... Thanks Truggy for pointing out that I blantantly didn't realize matched the Pins coming from the front panel...
Question on the Audio Pins coming from the front panel... I don't have a pin labeled "AUD_VCC" = "Filtered +5V used by analog audio circuits" coming from the front panel... so the pin is empty... is that okay ?
Now that truggy pointed out my other pictures are firewire and usb... I noticed that all the single sockets for the Fire wire kinda match the IEEE 1394 Connectors .. .(Page 2-21) So can I plug those into there... The only thing is that I'm missing a Ground and a "Cable Power" .... I'm assuming VCC = Cable Power... is that correct ??
My Father gave me an Extra DVD burner and an extra SATA 80GB hard drive…
I was able to set the DVD to slave and installed that under the first one…
I was able to install the HD
I think over all …. Putting together the computer was kinda fun, not too hard and really worth the savings…. Plus it’s really cool to have done it, Now I feel totally comfortable replacing any of those components…
However, I’m still a little “OFF”
1) I just got Digital Cable through my Cable TV company, I have one of those surfboard cable modems (exterior) it plugs in the back of the existing computer (on the mother board) through what looks like a big USB port that lights up orange. (The big USB is Not firewire)
I have TWO of those connections on my new motherboard. I plugged it into the first one, and it lite up green…. I stick the installation disk that came with the modem into the drive and start to run the install… It gets to a certain point then it says something about “No eithernet connection detected” I can’t really read it because It pops up a window you can’t move that only has an “exit” option…
When I plugged it into the other connection on the back, it did not light up green and the same thing happened when I put the disk in.
I have a bad feeling in my gut that someone is going to tell me I need an “Ethernet” card… if that is the case, I’m going to call up tigerdirect and completely curse out the manager.
2) I can’t get my speakers to work…. I have these two crappy little speakers… the right only plugs into the left. The left plugs into the power outlet and then has a plug that looks like a headphone plug that goes to my existing computer.
My new computer has 5 reciprocals for that kinda plug, (on the motherboard) I tried every one of them and can’t get the speakers to work.
I have another bad feeling that someone is going to tell me I need to buy some sort of Audio Card for the computer, if that is the case, I’m going to drive to tigerdirect and kick someone in the nutz.
I’m really hoping that guys are just going say I need to update some drivers or something.
“Yes, Hello TigerDirect, I’d like to place an order for a computer, And of course I don’t want the computer to play sound, connect to the internet, or to have a hard drive.”
Re: Just Got my New Computer Components in the Mail !! Yeah... i think
Well I guess I should give everyone an update, since I stopped by here to check out this post.
I purchased this computer 4.5 years ago, and it just now died on me. Pretty good in my opinion for spending $650.
I eventually got the sound working, but it died on me about six months ago, and then last week the darn thing wouldn't start up on my. I opened it up and dusted everything off. I don't see anything obviously wrong with it. So my dad's going to take a look at it on Friday, see if it's a simple fix.
If I can fix this thing, do you guys think it's worth keeping, maybe updating the sound and memory?
Is the processor still a USABLE processor? I don't play a lot of games anymore, mostly just music, some video, the internet, school and work kinda stuff.
