Just picked it up tonight! It has 187 Vehicles, 38 weapons/items/gifts. The game is huge! Swimming is a cool factor! Funniest weapon the dildo cuz you beat people with it and slap them around, it isnt listed in the strategy guide, but I found this! Coolest available vehicle trains! Their is alot of cussing and it takes a while to learn the controls! You can also modify CJ by different hair styles, clothes,tattoos, training and exercising him or making him just eat food and get fat! Soundtrack includes: Stone Temple Pilots, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Guns 'N Roses, and Boyz II Men! You can actually fly now in an airplane because you now have Airplane controls! Definitely what i expected and then some! The strategy guide is double the size of the old one! Heavy The game also loads faster! There a huge number of things to accomplish! You can also go skydiving and take pictures! Criminals get busted by the cops not just CJ! Different weather patterns! The AI ridicules you if your outta shape or praises you if you in shape! You can gamble and play pool! You can even pimp your car interior, exterior, and sound wise! And add NOS and Hydraulics! The graphics aren't as great as Vice City's but they are sacrificed due the size of the game and content factor!There are also no more trails and you can toggle between widescreen and and fullscreen! Sorry no progressive scan available! There is also a two player mini mission or game avialable! Highly recommend it for GTA Fans Defintely bigger and better combined than the previous 2 GTA titles! What does anyone else think?

Screw a strategy guide, its much better without...EXPLORE!
Anyways I got a few quick thoughts after playing. This game is ****in' amazing, first off. It looks twice as good and detailed as Vice City was. The place is HUGE. I mean enormous. We played for 6 hours and still weren't all the way around the first island (tho we had most of it). Train your character to get muscles and stamina amongst other things...very cool idea. I like how they added some simple RPG-elements to the game. It seems as tho its going to take a LONG time to get thru. Oh and the graffiti is the new hidden packages, I think. I'll be buying my copy today (as well as preordering Halo 2, but thats a different story). The music in this game is amazing to me because its what I grew up on. Old NWA, Too Short, DOC, Eric B & Rakim, Kool G Rap, STP, RATM, Guns N Roses, etc. etc. etc....You can tell they put a LOT of time into this one.
I picked it up last night at EB. After playing for a little while around the city where you start, I was amazed at how big this game is. I drove for over 2 hours and didn't pass by the same place twice. Framerate is a little slow though, and you can really tell that the graphics declined some, but the sound and playability and overall experience of the game makes up for it. Definately better and bigger than both previous GTA hits.
Recommended to all GTA fans.
shit i need to get ahold of this...all the places are sold out...so i gotta pre-orded on next shipment! glad to see it got better...too bad the graphics declined tho.
Damn I can't wait until Microsoft pays big money to Sony so that I can enjoy this game also on Xbox! Anyway I drove past EB Games last night and there was a mob of people waiting outside. I am jealous of you PS2 people. I should've kept mine.
