LatinharleM should not be trusted
Put the winxp disc in the cdrom. When it asks, press any key to boot the disc. Press enter when it asks you to either setup winxp or exit. Than on the next menu press R for repair.

HomerSimpson is an unknown quantity at this point
Depending on how your drive is formatted you will need a boot disk. If you have fat you can use a 98 boot disk and load the cd-rom drivers and work from there using varies DOS commands. If your system is NTFS you will need to get some NTFS DOS boot disks(good luck finding them, they havent been around for a while)

or if you are just looking to copy those drivers that you need from the cd, then you need to find out the exact place on the Recovery cd that those files are at. Good luck searching while in DOS mode, the files you are looking for are most likely in a datalog cabinet file called

driver1.cab

if you can find that then copy it back onto your hard drive then force the computer to look there you should be all good.
