Hey guys,
I was talking with RedDragoon333 and I mentioned the idea of setting up a meet where we all get together and install stuff. Not anything major like engines or anything like that, but like intakes, or clearing headlights, or small stuff like that where we could bring a little tarp to work under, and jack & jack stands if we needed to get under the car, and some tools.
We could also hold a group buy for the houston members, and when we all got our stuff meet up and help each other install the product. Maybe buy CATZ HID Kits, or something of that sort. If you like this idea, reply, and maybe add some info that I might of missed.
Corey

sounds good Corey, maybe the Htowners can get together and figure out what they want to get and what they need installed and maybe make a day of gettign some of this stuff done. Fog lights, anything thats could be done and a few hours would be good. The Sep28th meet would be a good test run for this. I think it would be tight. I for one am in for this one
Yea fog lights, clearing headlights, intakes wouldnt take too long either, we could even put rims on, if the tires are already on there just need jack and stands and a torque wrench, but yea anything simple like that would be fun to do, and plus if you dont know how chances are theres someone that does.
Hey guys after more talking, and a few comments from aaron(htown) , we got a chat room up and talked about a few things:
1) where to install/repairs the stuff
the answer to that is just bring a tarp and some poles and set it up across some parking spots and then if you went to the last meet you know we had that whole side to ourselfs so we could RSVP a pavlion, and then block off the section of parking infront of that and setup the place to work.
2) whos bringing what for the installs/repairs
we talked about this a little bit, i can bring a kit with sockets, and screw drivers and that stuff, but you need to bring anything that might be needed like a jack, and if you want to bring stuff for a DIY you need help on you need to bring the paint or whatever
3) If a garage is needed where can we go
I remember seeing REV Motorsports sign when i was driving down westhemier if we all get together and drive down there before or maybe 15 mins into the meet and talk to them maybe we can get a discount and a place to use a lift or something
thats just a idea on using there lifts, but im sure if we show up with enough people and use some smooth skills we can get a discount
We could drop by rev.. but to my understanding they aren't the greatest, however I have had no problem. Since it will be the 28th... I can bring sockets... but we should have more than 2 pairs incase we are working on a few cars at a time.
Maybe I can trade my hp's for dc's and an oem downpipe.. and we could install them there, or trade them there.
Anyone up for this? Maybe we can get a moderate size group..
I've got a good amount of tools, and Rev sucks. They don't know what they're doing. I trust myself more than I trust them, and I'm not all that great with tools.
ok well i can see if i can get jack stands, but this looks like it might really work out... so we need to see what everyone wants to install/repair, i myself need new brake pads..... might get a rotor upgrade ..... rear disc's cost like 600 and cant do at a meet
