Sup guys, I am new to forum and it's my first time owning a civic (99 4dr ex). I was wondering where do you guys buy your motors from. I was thinking about using JDM enginecorp but I have mixed feelings about them.

Only time I ever bought a motor, it was from a member here that had 2 D17A2's laying around.
I know it's not much help, but an anecdotal answer, nonetheless

I thought about buying a D17 to replace my D16Y8 but I need to do some research to see if it can be easily done. I know a B18b drops in and so does a B20b. I am leaning towards a B20b because I hear it's cheaper than B18b but I want to keep my A/C, P/S, and cruise control. So I need to figure out which build will be cheaper for me. I don't want to hotrod this civic because this my daily driver.

B16 should drop right in, as well, since that's what came with the 99-00 civic si (specifically, the b16a1). That may be a bit pricey though, since it's a rather coveted engine
