DIY brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing

ok i have yet to do this, but i will do a DIY, i realize that most ppl dont have a rotor resurfacer, so u can get new rotors if that is more convenient for you
altho i stress resurfacing because it is cheaper than using new rotors

i will also take pics of the tools that the PROS use so you can recogize and buy so u have these tools in your collection

but it should be up tomorrow at about 11pm or so, until then, if you have any questions, just let me know because im sure someone can answer them

and i have seen how the employees at my dads shop does brakes, and thats the way they have been doing it for YEARS so i will show how to do it that way, also i will recommend various air tools just to make the job go faster

on the left is the piston spanner, and that can be picked up at any place that sells tools
on the right is a tool used to loosen screws with a tap of the hammer, im not sure where to pick this one up, but it makes taking the screws off of the disks a LOT easier

you will also need
white lithium grease, a 17mm socket, and a 12mm socket

using the 17mm socket, take off the bolts holding the entire brake caliper out, using the 12mm take the brake pad holder assembly out

reset the caliper piston like so

take out the disks, using the tool mentioned above, replace or resurface

before u install the new pads, take the 2 pins out of the pad assembly and lube them up with the lithium grease replace

install the pads, attach to caliper, install the disks, install the caliper and pump the gas until desired resistance
and your done
