Valve Cover

I jst bought Douplicolor Engine Enamel and want to paint my Valve cover(not the wire cover) and would like to know where i can find the DIY....

and i dont' know but do i have to replace the head gasket? or am i totally wrong.....

the one on the DIY's is for a wire cover....

if you do take off your valve cover its best to just replace the gasket.(better safe than sorry)

I don't think removing the valve cover requires changing the head gasket since you aren't removing the head from the block. But you should probably replace the gasket under the valve cover just to be on the safe side.

WOW i totally read that wrong, boilers right if your just removing the valve cover you do not need to replace the head gasket, although i highly recomend you replace the valve cover gasket................p.s there is a DIY on how to do this

If you want to save time and spend a little money, just get it powder coated. It should only cost $25 or so. I got mine done on my old car. I got it for free though because I worked there at the time. But when I took my valve cover off, I had to replace it with a new valve cover gasket. It's recommended that you do that anyway, because it was previously copmpressed, you need to create a new seal. (that's how a nissan altima is anyway)

No I think not. The wire cover (which is whats being made by ALLMAN) covers wires.
Not spark plug wires as we all know, but the wire harness that supplies our "direct fire ignition".
When I take off my wire cover I see wires. When I take off my valve cover I see my cam and the tops of my valves.

If you take off the top cover you will see wires going to the coils.

but does anyone know how to do it, the DIY id for the WIRE COVER not the VALVE COVER, the title is incorrect,

i know i have to sand it, tape of the holes, paint it, let it dry, and that it??
