Fuse question

Anyone know if there is a fuse I can remove or something I can remove (besides battery or engine) to prevent the car from starting up and operating? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

If you remove the fuse for the fuel pump or another main thing like that, that is needed to run the car you should be good to go... look for the DIY on the fuel pump switch.. that would be the best way to go. Why are you wanting to disable your car anyways?

You can remove the 7.5 A fuse labeled "F.I. ECU" this will disable your ECU and fuel injection systems. You car will not be able to start. Why you want to do this i dont know...But it will reset your ECU reguardless. Good luck

If you have a 7th gen, then all you need to keep people from starting your car is have your keys to yourself.

The 7th gens use a transponder in the key to prevent theft. In other words, the ECU will not operate the car without the correct key.

Yes, a good Honda tech or a really determined thief could still do it (like having a spare ECU and key), but it is not as simple as stealing a 6th gen.

The worst part about pulling fuses is that you will eventually damage the contacts on the fuse block. Plus this is going to be a total pain, and eventually you will not do it.

Get a good alarm. If you have it installed with keyless entry, you will soon use it all the time as it is actually easier to use.

If they want it bad enough, they will take it. My friend has a 01 Dodge Ram, and someone stole his spare tire that is mounted under the truck. If you want to steal a 7th gen, who would want to is beyond me, but you can buy one of these, and override the immobilizer becuz I had my remote start installed last week, and that was used, and my remote start starts everytime, with no problems. I had a Prestige 2-way alarm remote start put in, and it is slick shit. I like it alot esp in Minnesota.

that immobilizer override wont help you steal cars, you still need one of the keys to program it, it just doesnt keep the key like the older override systems did
