Question Installing Gold Series kit

Hey I am a new member of the site but have been following the forums for a while. I have a question of how to install the tubes for the Street Glow Glow Series kits. HOw are you suppose to attach them to the bottom? Do you drill? And if I am planning to get a body kit will I have to take the tubes off to put the body kit on? If anybody has installed it please write me back thanks. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Hi, I asked my friend who installed my Street Glow Gold Series and he says you don't have to worry about taking it off when you get a body kit, it should be far enough back underneath that it won't rub or hit sideskirts or anything else. As far as mounting goes, there are little hoops with screw holes on either end and they go over the bars and screw into the bottom of the car I guess...sorry I don't have the best terminology but that's kinda how it works. Do you have the kit yet, if you do, seeing what I'm talking about would make more sense.

if you want to get really hardcore about your glow you can trim away some of the bottom of the front and back bumpers, i've seen it before, think someone here has done it before to and if i remember right i think they had pics of it. maybe if you do a search you may come across it.

Cool

I had a gold seriers put into my car. Car Toyz put mine in and did a good job. They also hooked it up to my remote for my alarm so that they would have to put a switch inside the car. Now I just turn the lights on with the remote and turn them off whith the remote. Its pretty cool. I have a Viper 550 ESP w/ Remote Start

Also if you got to the web sight for street glow you can download the instructions for how to mount them.

That was Mex who did that. He cut out sections of the bumper underneath the car so that the tubes could sit inside the bumper and the light would shine through. He's a really helpful guy. PM him and he'll give you lots of good ideas.
