amp mounting on rear seatbacks?

does anyone have experience with mounting an amp or power cap on the rear seatbacks? i know there is nothing in the seatbacks to mount them to, and i wasn't sure about something like cutting a piece of plywood to shape and screwing it into the seat or something like that. thanks. i have somthing better then that, if you have a box in the trunk i can make you a custom pannel with plexi window and neon to fit the semi hart shap whole that leads into the trunk when you pull down the back seat, I'll wrap it in vnly to match interior color so it will look like a stock pc...did it in mine a while back ago...looks really cool. You can mount the amps to the back of the box to hold it up in the window for viewing when the seats are down. belive me, you'll be riding with your back seat down all the time,,, especially at night with the neon glowing...

just email me here if your interested..... jazell26@hotmail.com

There is a bar (maybe 1" wide) that runs across the seat back, i drilled into that and mounted the top of the amp on that, and then zip tied the bottom of the amp to one of the smaller bars that runs through the seat, unzip the cover and take a look for the idea....

Unzip the carpet on the back of the seats and pull it back. Take some measurements and go to Home depot, lowes, etc., and buy a peice of plywood that size out of the scrap pile. They will cut it to spec for free. I got mine for 30 cents. Place it on top of the bars of the back seat and drill holes through the wood and the metal at the top of the seat. Now, drill a bunch of holes at the bottom of the board about 3 inches a part. Screw the top part of the board to the metal and zip tye the bottom to a bar. Put the carpet back over and zip it up. There ya go...That's what I did and you can see the end result on my member's page.

Thanks to Mohawk for this one...
