DIY's for previous generation civics

hey guys,
i know there are quite a few websites out there, and i've been reading alot of forums, but just wondering if anyone had any good DIY's or Mods for the 5thGenCivic HB (92-95). im tryin to fix up my new hatchback without spending a ton of money. i guess if the parts or mod is cool enough, then i'll spend a decent amount of money, but it would definitely have to be beneficial, like Disk brake conversion or engine swap.
any insight would be awesome...
