ok, i've been lazy so i still havent installed my shocks yet.

has anyone run into problems with this install yet? i personally dont like self tapping screws..heh...is there any way to use nuts and bolts for the bracket piece?

also, how good are ball joints? do they eventually wear out? i wouldnt want my shocks falling off one day.

I did it long time ago and it's still working good like the day I installed. For me this diy is definitely helpful expecially I'm living in a windly place - canada, it's just more scure every time I opened my truck. And I can use a bigger rear speaker without any contact with the stock's spring(I took it off already), thx grey!

All right guys this is my question I want to order this stuff today so a quick answer would be great anyways. Alright I want to remove my trunk springs completely, also I have a kaminari wing that makes my trunk extremely heavy. So I was thinking I would go with the 100#'ers but I have to questions.
1. Do you think the 100#'ers will be enough for the trunk with kaminari wing?
That wing is really heavy

2.Can I mount the shocks to the outside of the arms instead of the inside of the trunk arms?

thanks for the help guys.

you could probably mount them on the ouside of the trunk arms, just make sure that the arms fit fully extended or close to that when the trunk is all the way open, and fully compressed or close to it when the trunk is closed. thats the hardest part of the diy. I cant really help you with the force selection. I have 60 lbers on my stock trunk without a spoiler, but thats because i removed the trunk springs. give 100 a try, if they dont work you can always exchange them
