if people are replacing the springs with 40lb shocks, and your trunk works fine with only one spring, dont you think you should get two 20lb shocks?

all you really need is a ruler, look at the pics for an approximate location, mount the one side of the shock to under the rear deck, then mark the location on the trunk arm that the shock extends to. Close the trunk, get in the back and measure from that point to the mounting point under the rear deck. The distance should be the closed length plus the two ball joints, if not, adjust till it does, and secure the other end of the shock to the trunk arm.

boourns. the sedan trunk is smaller than the coupe trunk. i used the mounting locations that someone else (with a coupe) used and my trunk would open amazingly, but would not shut!!!!!

back to the drawing board...

Okay, today i found out 2 20lbs of shocks are still not enough for a VIS CF turnk without trunk springs. The best shocks for it are 2 30lbs. i just wasted my money again...damn!

Might have been discussed in another thread, but how about this mod for the hood? No more rod, however, would limit you using the racing prop. But our `04 is never going to need the racing prop...

Anyone here have pictures of Hood Shocks? The DYI pics are gone.

I stumbled upon this link while googling. I thought it might be neat to have...
