I want to paint my brake pads or calipers(whatever you wish to call them) but I dont know what to use? It must be something super heat resistant right? This should be a question a newbie asks, not a Super Member I know, but hey..... What are the forums for right? Yeah so wut brand and wut stuff and where to buy the stuff I need to get the job done? Thanx..

ya its called caliper paint.. you can find it at Pep Boys for less than 5 bucks... unless you want a color other than red/blue/white... then you gotta order it
Sweet, thanx toad....... I'm on my way to Pep Boys right now... So do I have to clean the pads or anything? Or just spray and go? well I'll just look at the directions when i get it....thanx agian...
You are not painting your brake pads man!
You cannot paint brake pads, obviously it would peel off the first time you brake...you are painting your calipers, and just to answer a possible future question, when painting your calipers, dont worry about getting paint on your discs or anyplace else, its ok as long as it doesnt go on your car, so do it somewhere its not too windy, in a garage is ideal...

There is always an ad for Dupli-color Metal Cast paint in Import Tuner and SCC. It says you can paint you calipers and heat intensive engine parts. I think they sell it at Autozone.
ha, ya dont paint ur pads,lol!! but u can get high heat paint that is usually used on engine blocks, u can get it at alot of parts stores! and by the way buy a can of brake cleaner to get all the dirt n dust off of it!

u could paint the pads if u would like, it wont last long, if u have RIMS, WAIT TIL THE PAINT IS DRY, really dry, if not ur going to get paint splatter on ur rims
im going to ask a noob question so just dont flame :S. when you take your capliers off to paint them

you dun remove the caliper form the actual brake system.. just 'pull' it away from the actual rotor, cover up everything else around it in the wheel well, and spray the caliper itself.
dang, is it really necessary to remove the caliper from the rotor? cant I just put some protection over the rotor and everywhere and just spray like that? and I dont know if I'm gonna wanna do the rear drums yet.... I guess I can always wait for my friends to help me on Sunday when we do the camber install....

When I did mine I masked everything in the wheel well except for the caliper (obviously).
When I painted my 6th gen's calipers I used some caliper lacquer I got off a Porsche site. That wasn't in a spray can, it came with a brush and you brushed it on. That was good stuf, really high gloss.
I will use "dupli-color engine enamel 500 F degree resistant" will it be heat resisdant enough?
other things, is there any place on the caliper that definitely no paint should flow in? because it is not easy to cover the surrounding of the caliper, there are a lot of detail and small area on the caliper itself...
