I have a 2005 Civic EX. I have noticed what seems to be water on my driveway sometimes after driving. It seems to be dripping about in the middle of the car. I reached under and felt what seemed to be a round rubber tube or hose where it was coming from. Anyone have any idea where this is coming from and if it is reason for concern? I'am sure it is water. Thank You

When you have the temperature knob turned all the way toward the red, and you turn on the defrost, the air conditioning still comes on? I just purchased this car, so I was surprised to read that. I live in Iowa and was wondering about this during winter months. Thanks for all the info!
I will try it as soon as my wife gets home with the car. Will I need to do this again when I want to use the air in the summer? Or will the air still work when I push the A/C button? Thanks for the great info.
I did the procedure to release it very soon after purchase.
Note: Even after the procedure is done the light will still come on if you move the selector out and back into floor/def and/or def positions. The difference is you will be able to push the A/C button and release the compressor.
I went and tried it and I can still hear the air conditioner start when I turn to defrost. I just cannot believe the air comes on when you turn on the defrost. The A/C light does not come on, but you can hear it kick on, soon as you click to defrost.
