Transmission swap

I have a 1992 Civic si HB and have the feeling that my transmission is going out. My third gear grinds horribly when it is cold or when i rev over 3,500 rpm. Also my reverse is starting to grind a bit when my car is not sitting at a complete stop with my foot on the clutch for 5 seconds. I found a 1992 civic cx transmission and I was wondering if it fit or and if it will effect the engine in anyway. I read on a few other forums well yahoo answers so I figured i should check with guys that know they're stuff. I also found another tranny from a 94 civic dx and again was wondering if it would make a difference and whether it would even fit.

Thanks
