You just have to find the V-tec solenoid. I have not looked myself, but all you have to do it splice a wire from the output wire and connect that to a LED and ground out the end of the wire. V-tec kicks in when there is enough vaccum in the solenoid, the solenoid closes, completing a circuit and telling the computer V-tec is engaged. If you are not sure, check out the other Honda site.
