Noise from rear passenger side of 2006 Civic EX...

Here's the problem I discovered about one week ago:

I randomly (during acceleration, braking, shifting, riding over bumps, reversing, 5 mph and even on the high way at 60-70 mph) hear a noise coming from the rear passenger side of my 2006 Civic EX (manual transmission) that sounds like an aerosol can being sprayed (or slightly like metal chain links being dragged on the ground).

There doesn't seem to be any external damage, and I'm not sure what to look for (internal wise). If anybody has any idea, or hypothesis of what might be causing this noise before I visit a shop later this week, please share. Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Noise from rear passenger side of 2006 Civic EX...

i think its the exhaust pipe rattling against the sway bar! i heard this when someone started their new civic and i could see the exhaust pipe vibrating and heard that same metallic noise. check under the car and for a test, wrap some heat proof material around the sway bar and see if it goes away.
