how to remove factory head unit from my 2005 civic

i have a new head unit for my 2005 civic 1.6 3dr sport. I was wondering if anyone knows of any websites that gives instructions on how to remove the factory headunit and fascia and replace with the new fascia to fit the after market head unit.

Re: how to remove factory head unit from my 2005 civic

you may want to check out ephatch.com

the 3 and 5 door models have a different console than the 2 and 4 door models...

welcome! where are you from?

here's a link to one of their threads that have the service manuals as a download... in the service manuals, you can probably find it... but i believe it starts with the removal of the shifter knob and boot....

ALSO, found this 50 second video that explains it.... just pause where needbe. it's mainly for an ipod interface, but shows how to get the main portion out... from there it's just four screws ( two on each side that are easy enough to see)
