Well listen here , i know that it doesnt sound like the brightest thing. Here me out i am not a fucking dumb ass. Dont flame me for hitting a pole, fuck yeah i got waisted, was i driving around town? no... was i on the streets no.... are cops in texas assholes and will they harrass you for just about anything yes..... could they legally of done something to me, yes they could have. but even some asshole cops understood the situation i was in and left me alone.. now i think if a god damn police officer felt it was in his dire to leave someone alone because of that situation what makes you think im not gonna call you a idiot for making your own conclusions of what was happening at that time??....???? i was simply sharing a story of unfortunate events, and inquiring on this body kit buisness

well it was obviously too far of a drive across the parking lot for you if you couldnt see a damn pole! If you couldn't see a pole then you probably wouldn't have seen a person. I don't care the reason...if i have alcohol in me i don't touch the drivers seat of a car.

I wasn't saying anything about you drinking and driving, there's other people here to do that. I was merely pointing out your inability to distinguish between the importance of making it to the shelter on time and going to get wasted.

Shit happens. While it might not have been the best idea to drive a couple of feet in your car while you were drunk, what's done is done. I'm sure he learned his lesson, I'm not going to sit here and preach to him.

Props on not trying to get on the streets to drive home or look for a place to sleep. I can understand someone completely sober sideswiping a car/pole in a parking lot because they turned too early while backing out. Heck, it puts me on edge sometimes the way some of my friends pull out of parking spaces. We are more entrained to focus on other cars/ people when checking our surroundings... poles are easy to miss, especially low rusty ones at night
