98 civic timing belt

Hey guys im sure you get this all the time. I just bought a 98 civic three days ago and today while I was driving it, the timing belt went out at 104 clicks. here is how it went. I was driving at 50 and all of a sudden it started decelerating. I dropped a gear and nothing happened. So I pulled over since I was on the hwy. I tried starting my car and nothing. So I first thought that maybe the fuel filter was clogged or the fuel pump went out. So I checked the fuses just in case. Well I couldnt figure it out and called a friend. First thing he said was the timing belt. GREAT! (sarcastically) he cam and looked at it with me and we took the oil cover off to watch the valves when I turned it over. No movement, so then we compression tested it, nothing. So it is the timing belt, my questions are

What is teh cost?
Is it an inerferecne motor?
Do I have to replace the valves and head?
Should I just put a new engine in?

Thanks alot
David

I dont think anything in the head could have been hurt....it all depends on how fast you were going and the RPM it was on. Worst case scenario bent valves.
The cost could range i believe just parts umm hmm www.hondapartsunlimited.com i dont know check this..
And if you have the funds to put a new engine in go ahead but be prepared to throw down about 4g or less
And interference motor?
