Help with Civic 1.6 Sport Please

hi guys, im new to the forum,
i just bought a Honda Civic (55 plate) 1.6 Sport. I wanted to upgrade the spoiler to the huge Type R spoiler however i do not want the hassle of getting it done proffesionally. Im usually good with DIY things and i think i can handle it myself with some guidance.

I can get the part from ebay and painted for around £100.
If anyone can give me a step by step guide or a link to another resourse on how to remove the existing spoiler and install the new one i'd be most gratefull.

i google'd "55 plate civic 1.6 sport" and one of the links that came up looked liked the 7thgen si model.

Err ok guys let me clear this one up.

Yes im from London and i have a 2005 (55 which means late 2005) Honda Civic 1.6 Sport. Its the EP3 model i think facelifted aswell.

I want to install the Type R spoiler. Any help/guides available?

yeah, man...we don't have as much help as our sister site...ephatch.com

there you'll find all you want and more. there are plenty of guys there that have swapped on the CTR (Civic Type R) spoiler....they'll be more than helpful! (i'm over at ephatch as well, same name....)

...and yes, the rest of the world has more options for the civic than we do here....like the following:

uk/europe can get the civic as a hatch w/ a d17 or d16 in it.

thailand has the sedan w/ k20 in it...

i'd have your car, if it were available here!!! civic hatch, with our d17 or d16 engine in it! (and probably be doing the same things you are too! :P)
