Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering if someone could help me in ordering the correct part. I posted the link to the page of the site you listed that corresponds to door locks below.

The actuator is listed as parts #32 and #56. If I had to guess one of those parts is the drivers door and the other the passenger but I am unsure. Could some one tell me if I need to order #32 from the illustration (part # 375100) or #56 (part # 492185).

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...KS&vinsrch=yes

Also one last question, if I order the wrong part, what is the return policy like on that site.

Thanks.

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

hmm not sure, you may want to ask the dealer to look it up for you first to get the number. it seems there is no distinction in the description. usually they put L or R for side specific apps.

for the heater dial, it was kinda expensive, like $20 i think but i cant remember. i thought about getting the others to match but they wouldnt work at all. the icons are in different spots and the AUTO is on them too since hybrid has different climate controls.

Can you post pictures of your orange led dash install? The pictures are gone from your original post. Specifically pictures with the leds showing. Thanks.

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

heres what i found, basically used 5 leds for each dial, behind each icon, and then two leds per button. it was a very tight fit but theres no other way. i used epoxy to hold them, altho i shouldve went with something better like silicone for a better bond. epoxy tends to crack easily but i guess its holding up okay.

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

Hello Gearbox.
Wondering if you could tell me how to adjust my door. I would like to be able to tilt the top of the door inwards if thats possible, to help it seal better. My door was messed up after having a towing company open my car after locking keys in there.

Leaky Door

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

yeah thats gonna have to be body shop work if at all possible. i tried to do the same to my rear door to get it flush with the body panel, but couldnt do it. my front door is similar to yours too, i had to get it opened by locksmith and he pried it open, now the window squeaks when it goes up.

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

How do I mount an RSX rear bar to my 01 LX? If I am not mistaken the only thing that comes in the progress adapter kit are brackets to attached bar to lower arm. How do I go about attaching the bar to my chassis?

Re: Ask Me About DIY Stuff V2!

from what i just looked up, the lx has the same sway as the ex. I just mounted an rsx sway onto my ex a few weeks ago and it just bolted right up. I used the rsx sway bar and the rsx endlinks. I am not sure if you have to use the rsx endlinks though.

Yep. Gotta get that mounting kit + a drill for those of us who don't have the stock rear sway bar.
