THanks for all the help kreeport!!!!!!!!! Your DIY is greatly appreciated. I have done many mods including installing neons and tailights, interior neons, exhaust lowering springs but one thing i would never touch were those gauges but you helped my nuts drop, thanks!!!!
hey kre thanxs for the awesome diy. i did it in like 30 minuetes. Oh by the way some tips to make it easier. you can put the brain in the bottum middle too just to let you konw and it's super easy to buy a wire tap clip form like home depot when you tap into the red/black wire. just plug and clip. second make sure the ground is reall secure and yeah that's it. 30 minuetes easy!! thanxs Kre for the awesoem DIY
Welcome. And yeah, you can use the T Clips (I think they're called) but I have mixed feelings on them. I've heard sometimes they arent totally secure. :shrug;
you have the gauge wires going into the cluster wiring.... With that wiring setup do yours come on only when you turn your lights on. I thought you had to run it to the fuse box and the circuit? Do yours stay off if your car is on and the lights arent turned on? If so thats a hell of a lot easier than how i did it.? just wondering
the only difference i noticed is that i have *two blue connector in the back and one white (whereas 2k1 civic only has one white one blue. I am going to assume that since the overlays for my car are two seperate pieces (one for engine heat and tach (left) one for speed and gas (right) the two blue connectors correspond to the two pairs of gauges (since my car has four civic has three) so i should wire the left positive wire to the left connector and same on right correct? then ground the negatives. and i should get the same thing? that sounds right doesnt it. By the way thanks guys, your site is a big help to me even though i have a prelude. my friend has a 2k1 civic and told me about the site. you guys are a big help since all hondas are abou 85% the same probaly on alot of stuff
?
but that sounds right dont u think on the gauge conncetions kreeport?
Hey, just got my gauges in the mail today and installed them. 97-01 prelude 5spd AC Autotechnica rev-el's. Same style as your's kreeport just on my car. they look tight. thanks for the DIY cuz i wired mine into the red/black wire on my connector pin and grounded it to the chassis and they worked fine. so now they only come on with parking and city lights. thanks a million. they came out great. i get mine brand new unopened of ebay for 39 shipped. thats a deal since theyre 89 unshipped in mags. ill upload a pic if i get time. i put my control thingie on the underside of the steering column cuz on the lude there isnt a coin tray on the dash and nowhere that would be inconspicious but accesible. thanks again.

Honda people stay together. wheter we be civic or prelude or accord, etc i say we stay united hehe
antsh - I'm not sure, but check out the AutoDynamic link at the top of the site or the links earlier in this thread. You should be able to find something.
98LudeBB6 - Sorry I didnt get back to you. Works got me pretty busy. I'm lucky if I'm able to check the site once every 3 days. Glad they turned out good. And yeah, if you get the chance, post a pic. I'd like to see it.
dude - got mine installed and they look sweet - they look exactly like your krepoort, but the center always stays green, and outside numbers are always blue. the dimmer only makes it dimmer or brighter, doesnt change the colors.
same AC Autotechnic brand. Same pattern colors and design.
AND ..... oh man oh man .... i was looking at em yesterday and i see "cracks" in the face .... some indiglo light shining through the cracks. What did i do?
Hmm. Maybe you got a busted one. Try contacting the place you bought it from and tell them the color wont change and you now see cracks after the install. Act like you wanted to have the green showing all the time and that you removed the needles to put the face on (ie, you didnt bend the gauges). Maybe you can get a replacement.
duuh i just figured out today how to change the color. but yea the cracks are still there - major annoying
