Need help with Radio Code

Any of you work at Honda ? I need a code for an 01 Civic EX Radio. (Like anybody would steal this) My daughter is at school and the battery went dead. Its a hassle for her to have to drive to a dealer as there are none nearby. The dealer where I bought the car wants her to drive it there and she's 300 miles away. Someone offered to do this in the past. Serial is 22047555. Thanks. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: Need help with Radio Code

If you searched you probably could have found the answer...

Now on my honda, and every honda i've seen with my own eyes, the radio code is under the fuse box lid. It's the fuse box under the hood on the left side of the engine compartment. If it isn't there then you probably will need to go to the dealership. Good luck

Re: Need help with Radio Code

I did search, if you would read, I stated that I have seen others offer to find code in the past. Your answer is not an answer. Just a hope that it may be there. Also may be on sticker by glove box. Again just another hope and not valid in this case. Thanks

Re: Need help with Radio Code

Yes Sir, I do work for honda........here is your radio code I hope this aint stolen! Haha I'm in trouble!!!

Radio Code: 53243 - use 1-5 radio presets to enter / if error message appear & locks up radio, then you need to disconnect neg- battery terminal for 2 minutes

P.S. I have never seen a radio code on the fuse box lid.....they are not specific to vehicle, only radio!

That is wierd, maybe dealerships around here just do that.... Both my 05 Civic and my girlfriend's 01 Accord, bought at different dealerships, had them under the fuse box lid. Sorry my answer was no help. I've also heard of in the glove box though, so it must be a totally random thing.
