I bought a used 2005 Civic LX sedan about a year ago. Been pretty happy with the car up until now. I left my headlights on the other day while in a fast food place. Was gone about 15 min. When I came back out car wouldnt start. Guess I need a new battery or at least need to clean the terminals. Found out if you disconnect the battery you will need to enter an anti theft code into radio/CD player. I bought the car used and dont have the anti theft card that came with the car. No numbers inside or outside of glove box, nothing inside lid of fuse box. Users manual was no help. Just told me I needed te code I dont have. I read on this forum that the dealerships want $115 to correct this code problem. I wonder about the real reason for this code. Sounds like a scam to me. Just another way for the dealer to get into your pockets. The POS radio isn't worth steeling. I cant believe I cant even clean my battery post without having to shell out $115.

Sorry for the rant. I will get to the point. I saw where forum members helped others get the code for their radio and hope someone is willing to do the same for me. Guess if I cant get the code I will replace the radio with a upgraded sound system. I refuse to pay the dealer $115. I will not be victim of this scam. Please let me know if any details such as VIN are needed. Thanks in advance to anyone able/willing to help a guy out.

I had the same problem, when my battery died. I have my cd players serial number which is 30004625.

Can anybody help ?? I want the CODE for unlocking the cd player, so that I can listen few songs.

Hello, my moms 2001 Civic battery died and now I have the code issue.

I've tried the 1-6 + power and the resulting code is U4003 L9528. The radio serial in case is needed is 0039528.

Can someone help with the code.
