Re: Need DIY Lower Control Arm removal (front compliance bushing)
well... ull have to take off the tire, then remove the ball joint from the controle arm that connects to the hub... after that... remove the nut that hold on the stabalizer bar, and then remove the bolts which connect the control arm to the subframe. Be very careful when separating the ball joint from the control arm, because if you rip the boot, it will put you in a whole nother place of replacing it, and if you don't have a press, you will have to take it to be done... i know its not that informative, but just givin ya the basics
Re: Need DIY Lower Control Arm removal (front compliance bushing)
Or you can just buy the oem lower control arms on ebay with the bushings already in there.....that's what I did. It was less than 160 bucks all said and done.
Re: Need DIY Lower Control Arm removal (front compliance bushing)
but u can pick up the 2 compliance bushings online for like 25 dollars shipped to your house..... and i might be an art major... but 25 < 320... if your willing to get your hands a little dirty
Re: Need DIY Lower Control Arm removal (front compliance bushing)
one of those bolts on the lca is a pain in the ass to reach...the one by the front stablizer bar. but its not hard to do it just takes time...and to take off the lca from the dustboot just use a 1/2 inch ratchet...theres a diy on honda tech for that check it out...its simple as shit...ive dont it many times never fails.

Re: Need DIY Lower Control Arm removal (front compliance bushing)
If I order a new front lower control arm, does the new LCA come with bushings preinstalled? The dealer quoted me for $386 just to replace the bushings. I don't have a press. A new LCA is about $120 each from majestic Honda. I do have the oem honda ball joint seperator which i used to replace the knuckle/bearing/ball joint recently.
