anyone know what would be involved in hooking up an outlet that stays powered when the car is powered off? sometimes I want to be able to leave my cell in the car charging when it's totally dead...

I would imagine new wiring to the fuse panel would be required, I don't even have a map of the fuse panel though so no idea what to splice into...

gotta run a wire all the way from the battery? that sounds like a lot of work... :/

isn't there a circuit alrady in the fuse panel under the steering wheel that has constant power (like the dome light / power for the radio preset memory) that I could tap into with a device like this

if you already have a system or planning to have a system, you'll have to run a wire from the battery to the trunk anyways.

Good luck, I was never able to find one under the dash in my RSX-S. I'm sure they are similar if not the exact same. I wanted my radar detector hot all the time, no luck though...

went to my local dealership, those parts have a different part no.

39631-S5A-A01 CAP ASSY $14.24
39632-S5A-A01 SOCKET ASSY $37.31

prices in CDN$ - pretty damn expensive - I'm gonna try an auto wrecker

what type/gauge wire can i use to lengthen the wires that connect to the back of the cigarette outlet? i want to lengthen them so i can pull the panel farther out while the wires and outlet are still attached.
