It's 125 bhp@6600 rpm and 106 lb-ft@5200 rpm compared to 127bhp and 114lb-ft. And off course it's 1590cc instead of 1668cc. So the 7th gen is more powerfull. Just a small difference though. And I was suprised to see the 7th gen is lighter. 2555 compared to 3490.

Huge difference in weight though! I didn't realize it was that much. Bonus!

I have the 2001 LX and my best friend has the 94 Civic Coupe EX and he's got CAI, Headers and Exhaust. He used have everything but a hi-flo cat and before he got that i used to spank him. Now that he has the cat he can finally beat me. But mine is stock, so i dont really mind. Stock to stock, the 2001 LX is way more powerful. Stock LX to Aftermarket 94 EX is still a good race...

going off the thread above, yes. the 7thgen lx (if that's what you meant) has 115 hp (supposedly), so the 94 ex would be more powerful.

Didn't notice he was comparing with the 7th gen LX, so I gave him the EX numbers. But I still believe the 2k1's are more powerfull in theory because of the bigger displacement and add to that the huge weight difference, they should be faster also. And BTW my LX (D17A8) has 120bhp instead of 115bhp. Anyway, the difference is 2 small to notice on the street.

1037 Kg's. How much is that in lbs ?
I got the earlier 3490 lbs form civic.vtec.net. I wouldn't be suprised if the 3490 is wrong.

I think that 3 is supposed to be a 2. My friends '95 Si hatch only weighs like 2550.
But the 2001 LX(feel free to correct me if im wrong) only weighs about 2450?
