armrest question.

My 2001 LX Sedan didn't come with an armrest. The Dealer told me that in order for me to put an armrest I would have to change the entire seat. Apparently the 2001 Sedan seats don't have the 'hole' where the armrest needs to be installed.

Is that really true?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

from that pic for a 2001 lx sedan automatic, it appears that it does...

on the back of the seat, there are two zippers that go up from the bottom. unzip those, and take a look...

any more help, feel free to IM me.

my bet is that its there, by just feeling the side of the seat where the armrest would attach you can tell if it has the hole. In my DX, before I installed the armrest, I could see an indented box in the seat urethane which indicates the area you cut out to reveal the seat base

It is there.

Even Honda's own instructions tell you to just measure and cut an X where the hole is behind the foam.
