i took me 2 days with some parts missing to make it work.... the d17 intake manifold is almost identical to the d16's and a little modification to make it work. as far as HP gains... well.... its really hard to tell... we dont have any dyno here on the island!!! (GUAM)... as far as i can feel.... the throttle response is a lot better, top end pulls a lot harder. and with the manifold you can run different injectors, right now im using obd-0 b18 injectors, so i had to wire a resistor box.

yep you will fell it pull a lil harder in the top end. I am using that manifold too. I changed a lot of stuff so not proof on the gains but it definetly helped.

Search, theres a few VTEC heads for sale, maybe you can even throw a Crower Stage 1 cam, it doesnt need any change to the valve springs or retainers.

obd1 and obd0 need resistors. So this means obd1 and obd0 injectors will also need them. If you use rsx injectors you won't need resistors.

nice work! A quick written diy on the mods and a parts needed list would be nice. amazingly no one has done one yet. This is one of those last little things I may try before my swap.

ports on the d17 is just a little bit bigger than the y8... a little port match would work!!! map sensor, tps, and the idle air control was an issue... a little re-wiring has to be done.
