Re: Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +

might be the distributor cap/rotor melted and threw off the timing. the engine might be okay, or it might be dead.

Re: Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +

I love the forum and have learned a lot in the last few days.

Here I am with my 01 LX east of Amboy, CA on Route 66 back in August. On this day my Civic was just a pinch over 185,000. As I read this forum I feel like some sadistic mofo as I've skipped most of the maintenance over the years. Except for oil changes and the occasional tire and brake changes my Civic has run like a champ asking for no special care. But next week will come the timing belt change, tune up and coolant flush.

The head liner and fabric for the side interiors will come soon as they are starting to detach.

Sal
