Whatever happened to Exospeed Racing?

Did anyone ever get a PnP job, cam, etc from them?? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Well - once I get the turbo installed (and all of the bugs worked out) - I may want to get a pnp job and cam....not sure when that will be (with a house on the way - may take a while!)....

Congrats Travis! He said the cam would not be worthwhile because it would take too long as someone could easily duplicate it.

Yeah I know that Exospeed was saying they would not develop a cam - I'm counting on Crower for that one (at least that's what all of the "talk" is) - I was thinking of just the PnP from them....

Crower will hardface and regrind them custom. They will last like stock. Can get pretty agressive with them. I think its like over 500 dollars according to their site.

Yeah see, that's too much - I can get a completely custom made cam for that much from Crane cams...which incidentially is up the road in Daytona Beach a few hours....

its hardfaced(built up with hard weld material) The reason stock regrinds wear out is because basically there is less of a circumference on the cam lobe. This means that there is less material for the cam followers to rest on with added pressure on the camlobe/camfollower friction area due to the more agressive ramp on the cam lobe. If you increase the lobe ID first rather than just cutting a whole bunch off your cam you are basically making a new cam. I think opto would be better off having a custom one made if he can though, as would the rest of us if he has good luck with his lol. I havent got to it yet but soon enough thats gunna be a priority.

Can't wait to hear your technical answer I've never heard anyone complain about Crower regrinds. I think there was a member on this board that actually has one but I'm not sure if they provided any feedback?

kezay is an unknown quantity at this point
NashVegasEX has a regrind cam from crower but I don't think that he installed it as yet... However why can't we just have some patients,, why waste money and time to send your cam to be regrinded and then Crower releases their new line of cams for the d17's . The last I spoke to Brian at Crower he said that it would take them like
3 mths to develop, test and do dyno test for the D17 cams, which happens to be like about 2 mths ago....
