<VTEC cont:
L to H should be 4000 RPM
H to L should be at aroung 5200 RPM>

I noticed you said you flipped them but still- did you tune this yourself? Thats an awful long time your VTEC is staying engaged. The shop that set my vtec in my Si set

L to H 5000rpm
H to L 4900rpm

isnt it annoying to be driving in VTEC like ALL the time??

hello my informative friends. i am hoping you will be able to help me. you see, my friend just purchased an apexi VAFC and we are excited about installing it. now here is where ya'll come in. can you tell me where the ECU is located in this car? (exact location. we cant find it) i see that there have been a couple succesfull installers here on this board, any other pointers would be appreciated, like what gave you the most trouble and how you handled it, etc... thanks, and HAVE A NICE DAY.

i know you have over 40 posts on this already, but i need HELP!!!

Others may correct me, but the last word was that it won't work - Apexi still has not released anything saying it will work, and all attempts to make it work failed....

Sorry.

thanks jimmy24, that was not the answer i was hoping for. boosted, how did you get yours to work. you said you had it installed, right? you even have some pics. even if it is not compatable, i would still like to know where the ECU is located. thank you for your help.

I dunno just an idea, however dumb it may be, but has anybody combined the V-AFC and a chip mod such as the Jet chip to see if the v-tec will work then. Everyone is saying the ecu resets with the v-tec connected of the check engine light comes on. Maybe by combining these that problem would be alleviated.... just a thought.

VTEC Controller does not work for our cars.

VTEC Comes on at 1500 RPM and at 20 mph. It stays on if you are running the car hard. But, if you upshift like grandma, you can turn VTEC off.
And if you ever get your car above 63mph and in 5th gear, VTEC remains on.

Just my 2 cents to save you 400 bones.

VAFC does work in our cars!! I had mine hooked and tuned up intill the point where I blew my motor! You can not hook it up like everyone on here says! You have to use restiors (SP) in the wiring to the vtec side, The restiance of the wires have to match for them to work properlly. I'm about to hook mine back up today, but I'm using the harness that my friend put restiors on already! If you live in the Texas area my friend knows of a shop that you can getr done at! I know that yall are sceptical but it can work! Like someone else said on here you just have to understand the cars electronics! And Vtec on our cars is just the same as vtec on 2000 and lower models, If you hook a light up to your vtec selinoid you can see when it comes on and off, my settings I had mine at 4200 rpm and you could slightly here it kick in espiecally with juice!
