i was changing my oil wel before being employed there...its truly not that hard. u drop the plug, let the oil drain, take the old filter off, lube the new one and put it on, plug the pan, add oil (3.7qts for a ex), start the car, check the level....my car is slammed too so i gotta go through all that hassle with the jack too.

Probably not a big deal, but it might be hard to take it off next time you do a oil change

Take to the dealer, they do it cheaper than I can ($10.99 with all the Honda parts and oil). I ask to see the oil every time though, don't know why? I'll be getting rid of my car before the warrenty is up.

They top all th efluid and wahs the car too.

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 Full Synthetic, I started doing my own oil change before the 35k maintenance, coz the bastards at the dealership's changing me 340buckets for it, even if I just changed my ac filter and i have no airfilter to be replace so I bought a case of 1quart Manual Transmission Oil, a honda oil filter, and a Mobil 1 5w-30 5quarts, and a gallon of coolant, and it came up to about 100+buckets

for the 35k maintenance I flushed my transmission fluid three times like the manual said, drained my radiator twice, changed my oil...

I still have about 8quarts of transmission oil, and about 2quarts of engine oil... I would never bring my car again to a dealership/or anybody for oil change... it's a bit messy but it's fun doing it, knowing that you DIY...

bring you used oil to any quick lube place like Jiffy Lube, Pepboys, Autozone... they will take your oil with no cost to you... save earth man! here's a link to where you dump your oil>>> http://www.earth911.org/master.asp?s...=1&serviceid=1

If you look on the Honda oil filter, it says FRAM. And like Down said, they use castrol synthetic blend.

And the deal where I live sells 3 filters for the price of two, so they are actually cheaper than a good quality filter form the auto store.
