Re: Oil Changes

D'oh. Didn't put a new washer in yesterday, and didn't use a torque wrench. So far everything seems good though!

Re: Oil Changes

the washer is just idiot protection. if you arent leaking oil with the old one, youre fine. bolt torque is not that important, just dont go nuts making it too tight.

Re: Oil Changes

I no longer use mibile 1 since it is now a type III syn.
Ive switched to Valvoline syn
Valvoline syn is a true type IV which is somewhat superior to type III.

Re: Oil Changes

I work at a honda dealer in south jersey.... 0w-20 is only for the hybrids. and I wouldnt recommend fram filters. I honestly would recommend going to your local honda dealer to get a few filters, theyre pretty cheap. I suggest using a regular name brand oil. Mobile 1 is not required on these cars and is frankly a waste of money.

yea i agree. using M1 oil is a waste of money.....only becase we drive an eco box for goodness sakes.... it doesnt need an expensive oil change to keep it running well... regular oil (maxlife) is more than fine.
