i've done it myself since i've owned the car. i only save a few dollars but it's worth it. I can never understand why people bring their cars to the dealer and overpay.

It takes about 20 min.s if you have everything on hand, and you do it the right way. Easy stuff man and it makes you feel better. Just dont tighten your oil pan bolt with all your might I learned the hard way and had to replace my oil pan and this was after about 1 1/2 yrs of changing my oil on my own which I still think since my car is lowered I hit something and just happend to notice it when I was changing my oil.

i would never use fram filters, they break down and let dirt and particles into your engine, imo

the fram number is PH7317, and it takes three quarts of vavoline 5W-20. you can get a different level of oil if you choose to. thats just the basic kind. underneith your car, your oil pan is the first one. put a drip pan underneith it it. the bold size is 17mm. once you drain it, put the bolt back in. and the filter is straight abouve it, so all you got to do is reach up and turn it to the left. it will drain just a little more. dont have your car running for a long period of time cause the oil will be hot. after that just install the new filter, tighten it, and at the top put three quarts of oil in.

Don't say that. The car has to be warmed up, or the oil will be so thick it won't completely flow out of the engine and it'll flow very slowly.

I realize what you're saying, but people may misintrepret that the car needs to be cold.

It doesnt really matter, I prefer to do it cold so that the oil doesnt run down from the oil filter when taking it off.

It's harder to get all the oil out of the engine when it's cold. Yeah, it works, but a hot change is more thorough.

Technically, most of the oil should be sitting in the oil pan already when its cold, that's why there is no oil leaking from the oil filter.
