if i have the 12v wire connected and the ground wires installed should it connect and interact with the support tool? cause im not sure if it's the usb to serial connection messing me up or if it's the wiring.
no.. u need a made support tool.. any usb/usb cable wont work and might burn ur e-manage...
I bought a 6V battery.... connected my e-manage to my pc and updated it... and it interacted fine..
i have the cable that came with the support tool then i connceted the serial conncetion to the usb on my lap top. I know you can burn it out but i mean the power wire that connects from the main harness of the emenage and the ground. if i hooked up those two and turn on the carshouldn't it interact?
The main harness encompasses, if I remember correctly the injector harness, which needed to be pinned in to the main harness. The ignition harness is completely seperate and requires it own pinning. This question has already been answered for you.....

Lately I have been running a S-AFC2 but last week I got an Emanage and an ignition harness. I was curious to how much people retard their ignition under boost?

This is the hardest thing about the 7th gen, since the computer is continually adjusting the timing. I've tried to log things with the elmscan...but nothings perfect.
Titan set it around -6 degrees at boost when they tuned my car.
