To use the vtec setting in the emanage - try this:
if you are using the emanage to control the engagement point you will need to connect a resistor in parallel with the emanage's VTEC input. Without the resistor the ECU will think that the VTEC solenoid is faulty/not connected and will throw a CEL. Use a 820 ohm 1W resistor.
...see I think this was something that was supposed to be done in the first place, didn't everyone recieve a resistor with their E-manage? I did but is it for something else? Sorry for nagging questions, thanks for the help.

No, the resistor was for something else (Nissan or Mazada engine setup).
As far as I'm aware, no one took the time to do this....don't understand why.
ok guys.. i got my car installed with the e-manage will all harnesses and tuned.. and vtec is working on the 4-8-e settings... I have no idea how they installed all of this but if you want I can take a pic of the connections and send it over...
Tuned, cool...What kind of HP numbers did you get?
Are you willing to show us screenshots of the tuned maps, or maybe the gsc files themselves, hint hint.
Did the tuners tell you anything special about how easy or hard it was tuning with the e-manage?
One thing I want to know is what the support tool parameter setting says with the 4-8-e setting. That setting is supposed to be for RSXs, but when I set mine to that the support tool doesn't say anything regarding what engine type it is for - its just blank.
ill give u guys wghat i got.. its only 1 hr of tuning.,.. after 4-5th gear.. on 4500 rpm i cut out on fuel.. no i cant gun it hard on 4th and 5th.. but im a city driver so it doesnt affect me... it needs to be further tuned.. if you guys can tell me how to save my settings.. ill put the gsc file here available for u guys.. since no one else wants to help us.. i guess you can work from there..
