How come my airflow meter pulse output says it is in use? How do i get it to read 'Not in use'? Also, what should my airflow meter change setting be at? We currently have it at HN_PR-1.

Optoisolator and boosted2k2 have both got it to work great, BUT they have LX's. This is good and all, but they are wired completely different (except for the TPS, power, and ground). The jumpers are also VERY different.

Here's what you want to wire:

Emanage:------------------ECU:

Red ---- +12VDC-----Yelow w/Black stripe (pinout 2, connector A)
Black ---- GND--------Black (pinout 4, connector A)
Brown----RPM--------Blue (pinout 7 on connector A)
*Grey------TPS---------Red w/Black stripe (pinout 15 on connector A)
White---Map Input--Green w/red stripe (pin 19, conn A, away from ECU)
Green---Map Out----Green w/red stripe (pin 19, conn A, TO ECU)
**Yellow--VTEC IN-----Green w/yellow stripe (pin 15, conn B, TO ECU)
**Lt. Blue-VTEC OUT--Green w/yellow stripe (pin 15, conn B, AWAY from ECU
Purple---VTM Out----Blue w/black stripe (Pin 9, Conn B, TO ECU, cut and terminate signal from engine, the purple wire is to be soldered directly to the blue/blk wire going into the ECU. Tape off the cut part of the wire that is no longer connected to the ECU.

* - Greddy left the gray wire out of the wiring instructions. This is your throttle position signal.
** - THIS IS WHY MY CAR WAS MESSED UP. Greddy wrote the directions BACKWARDS for VTEC cars. Reverse what they say and you'll be golden.

Ok, after wiring in the harness, you need to set your Emanage switches and jumpers. You could have done this before the wiring, but it really doesn't matter yet.

Jumper settings:
JP1: 1-2
JP2: 1-2
JP3: 2-3
JP4: 1-2
JP5: see writeup...
JP6: (1-2) but because I didn't select them on the maps, it throws no codes
JP7: OPEN

---For jumpers 5 and 6, this is for sub injector controlling. I have mine enabled (1-2) but because I chose not to select the maps in the support tool software, it isn't doing anything differently. I did this because if I do use it as an injector controller, I don't have to open it back up again later to mess with the jumpers.

ROTARY Switches:

This has been debated/discussed for quite some time. 4-8-C works great on DX's and LXs, but within 2 hits of VTEC you have a CEL and an engine in limp mode. 4-8-E works VERY well. No codes, smooth idle, VTEC adjustment. This is the switch settings that you WANT for any 01-04 EX civic. It has been tried on my 5-speed boosted EX, and Dezod's currently NA Auto EX. So there's no debate that this setting won't work with an EX. It works flawlessly.

Suggestions: Buy an OBDII scanner (you can find them at autozone). It will come in handy and help you trouble shoot any problems you may have. Solder all of your connections. Don't take shortcuts but crimping unless it's only a temp thing. Soldering is the way to go, why risk it? I mounted my emanage in my center console behind the shifter. Very easy access and the wire lenghts are absolutely perfect.

That about sums it up. MAD PROPS TO DEZOD. He's the guy who went through all this hassle for 2 days on his own car to figure this out, and looked up quite a bit.

Here's some links for you guys:

Upgrade your firmware to V1.39 here:
FIRMWARE
Upgrade your Emanage software to V1.11 here:
SOFTWARE

Here's a pic of the mounted Emanage. Thanks again to Dezod for his support. Hopfully this writeup that took me over 30 min to do helps people out in the future. Good luck guys!
this has one small correction needed...You may want to revise your DYI i just found that the brown wire dont go to A-connector #7, it goes to E-connector #26 Engine speed pulse its a blue wire also. this may help on some installs where they are having issues with tunning. It should read as follows...
E-manage------------ECU

Brown----RPM--------Blue (pinout 26 on connector E, Engine speed pulse)

There is no set cable for connector "A" you just have to follow the DIY and IMO all but the RPM as stated above

Check your serial to USB adapter. The GReddy cable is real selective with them.

Any real solution for the "VTEC Input Error" (Code 14) on the e-manage on EXs??

I really want to make it work before installing my turbo kit.

I'm using Dezod's PnP Harness and I have the same error as all other EX owners. No CEL but still having that Error Code 14 on e-manage (VTEC Input Error).

Jumper settings exactly as in this thread.
Rotary settings: 4-8-E
Versions:
Support Tool: 1.20
Firmware: 1.40
Airflow meter: Tried every settings: from HN_PR-1 to HN_PR-5 and I have the same error on each of them.

I did not found the 820ohm, 1w resistor but tried an 1k ohm, 1w resistor and still having the same error, did not noticed any change in the Input behavior so the resistor have been removed.

Some of you might think that PR versions of the EM2 are different than US but it is not. It is exactly the same version as US.

Please let me know what else can I try?

Since I have the PnP harness by Dezod I don't know what to do to make the OEM ECU control the VTEC again if I don't get it to work properly.
