my check engine light does not come on. anyone know how to fix it? is the light out?

my check engine light does not come on when i start the car. do i need to replcae the light? i got the car with it in the condition. does anyone know how to fix it? and where can i get replacement lights? please help. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

It's an LED light that's part of the circuit board. It isn't gonna be easy, but I thought those type of lights would last longer than bulbs would. Maybe have it looked at under warrenty.

Perhaps you're throwing a diagnostic code...

Check your codes...then clear them, then see if the light comes back on.
Check your fuses...you know those little things that burn out to protect the electrical components?

Your engine doesn't heed to be checked!





The bulb is probably burned out....Either dealer or regular auto store (autozone) should have bulbs.

They're LEDs...they won't burn out in this lifetime...heh,

Check fuses..have you done any modifications to your electrical system?

the dash and cluster had to be replaced. due to a salvage title. in cali if the check engine light does not come on. it doesn't pass smog. do you know how to replace the led? or should i just buy another cluster

well, you can always try to reset the light...
to do that just turn the car off, and hold in the trip odometer button, then turn the car on and hold in the button for like 10 seconds and it will reset the light, then it might work.
Just an idea...

buy the bulb man it's part number is #74...it's a very small bulb, remove ur cluster and replace the bulb behind it...no big deal
